Amazon Pauses Corporate Hiring

Amazon has paused hiring for corporate roles, according to a memo distributed to employees on Nov. 2.
The company last month froze hiring in some of its businesses, and senior vice president Beth Galetti in a note Thursday said its other businesses are now included.
With the economy uncertain, “we anticipate keeping this pause in place for the next few months,” Galetti said.
Amazon will still hire in some “targeted places,” Galetti said, and the company still intends to hire “a meaningful number of people” in 2023.
