Shares in Microsoft fell Tuesday after the company reported a decline in profit for the quarter ending in September.
The tech company reported revenue of $50.1 billion for the quarter, an 11% increase from the year before, but a net income of $17.6 billion, a 14% decline from last year.
Windows OEM revenue for the quarter dropped 15% year-over-year amid the ongoing decline in demand for personal computers.
The growth of Microsofts cloud services bolstered its results, though it was slightly lower than analysts expected.
Microsoft Cloud revenue for the quarter was up 24% year-over-year, while its Azure cloud services revenue was up 35% over last year.
“We continue to see healthy demand across our commercial businesses including another quarter of solid bookings,” said Executive Vice President and CFO Amy Hood.
