In-home healthcare provider Signify Health will be acquired by CVS Health for around $8 billion, the two firms said this week.
In an acquisition that would expand on its expanding health-care offerings, CVS said that it will pay $30.50 per share in cash for Signify.
In order to power its service, Signify uses technology and analytics to provide patient care through both online and in-person visits.
According to FactSet, the market value of Signify Health as of Friday’s close was around $6.7 billion, or $28.77 per share. Shares have increased by nearly 45% over the past month.
The transaction is expected to finalize in the first quarter of next year, subject to regulatory approval.
