Elon Musk advocated this week for increased drilling and development of fossil fuel reserves expressing concern that mankind may face difficulties if the switch to lower-carbon energy sources is made too quickly.
Earlier this year, when oil prices were at its peak, Musk tweeted that we need to increase oil & gas output immediately.
This week Musk told reporters Realistically, I think we need to use oil and gas in the short term, because otherwise civilization will crumblennIn the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, oil prices have risen lately.
Musk has also advocated for nuclear power and blasted nations that want to gradually phase out their nuclear reactors.
