Jack Dorsey wanted to get Elon Musk on Twitter’s board but the directors were risk averse

Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey wanted billionaire Elon Musk to join the board of the social media business before the current legal dispute between Twitter and Musk played out in the media.
He did not, however, anticipate the other directors supporting him, according to a court document filed last week.
“The board is just super risk averse and saw adding you as more risk” Dorsey texted Musk on March 26.
Musk made a sudden change of heart and attempted to back out of a $44 billion plan to buy Twitter.
Twitter is now suing Musk in an effort to get him to uphold his half of the bargain.
The two parties are expected in Delaware Chancery Court in October.
