Microsoft Buys 4% Stake In London Stock Exchange As Part Of 10-Year Deal

Microsoft announced a 10-year strategic partnership with the London Stock Exchange Group to deliver “next generation data, analytics and workspace solutions.”
Microsoft will acquire an approximately 4% equity stake in the U.K. firm from the Blackstone/Thomson Reuters Consortium as part of the deal.
LSEG has agreed to spend at least $2.8 billion on cloud products and services from the U.S. tech giant over the ten-year contract.
In addition to using Microsoft tools, the companies will work together to advance LSEGs own Workspace data and analytics platform.
