United Buys 100 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, With Options For 100 More

United Airlines on Tuesday announced it is purchasing 100 Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets, with options to order 100 more.
The airline says it is the largest order of wide-body aircraft by a U.S. carrier in commercial aviation history.
The new planes will be delivered between 2024 and 2032, and United can choose 787-8, 787-9 or 787-10 model aircraft.
The airline also exercised options to order 44 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for delivery between 2024 and 2026, and 56 MAX aircraft for deliver between 2027 and 2028.
