Twitter Seeks Dismissal Of Lawsuit From Former Employees

Twitter on Friday asked a federal court in San Francisco, Calif., to dismiss a lawsuit filed by former employees over “mass layoffs,” or move it to the District of Delaware.
Eight former employees of the social media company filed the potential class-action lawsuit over being laid off after new owner Elon Musks takeover.
The complaint claims assurances were made by Twitter leadership before Musks takeover, and that the return to office, short notice of layoffs, and low severance offers were unexpected.
Attorneys for Twitter argued that the complaint made “vague, imprecise” claims, and that furthermore the complainants did not have enough in common to form a class.
Twitters lawyers called for the case to be dismissed, or moved to the District of Delaware, which is handling legal disputes related to Musks $44 billion purchase of the company.
